Wales' Tales

That school has begun and what lies beyone
Is the fall and the winter,
In spite of the heat,
It won't be that long
'Til our hope is to beat
The cold blast of air that will race from the north,
And many of us will not sally forth
To go to the market, preferring instead to lie
Safe and warm in our own little bed.

The cold in the winter, and summer to rant
With the hot winds of August, the sun beating down,
Drying the land, turning skin to dark brown.
Perhaps there's a lesson to learn in God's plan,
More than warm socks or a strong window fan.
Extremes test our moxie, they make us rethink.
They measure our will and our strength in a blink.
They force us to ponder as extremes oft increase,
To see how we fit into God's call to ... |
